Have you ever found yourself going through the motions of your day? Or, operating on auto-pilot, until you find yourself in the middle of the room staring at the wall and not wondering what you were doing there? I have found myself in that space more than once. And, at that moment I have no other choice but to retrace my steps and began talking to myself in 3rd person.  And, thankfully, my thoughts catch up to my steps eventually.

Faith operates very similarly in our life.

Faith comes as a response to divine revelation. Faith has an element of assurance, certainty, and confidence. You can’t manufacture it, but after an encounter with Christ, there’s a transformation. Faith is those moments when you start to retrace your steps and then you operate with an expectation that the best is yet to come.

Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that it is impossible to please God without faith.

Mark 5:34 is a declaration from God that your faith can bring healing and free you from your suffering. Faith goes beyond belief.

James 2:19 says that demons believe (and shudder) but they can not experience faith.

Matthew 17:20, Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Father God, let our faith overshadow any fear. Allow us to put our trust in You! Send us out so that we may experience peace in the midst of the storm and open our eyes to see that we are the storm. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
