Lamentations 3:23- They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

In the busyness of life, we strive to make time for people and things that we see as a priority. Whether it is a certain work schedule to ensure that we can pay our bills, or volunteer work that aligns with our passion, or our kid’s soccer games. Hopefully, more often than not we are fully present and able to fulfill our commitments (faithfulness). If I am honest, my intentions do not always match my actions in this particular area, consciously and unconsciously. Not because my heart is not in it, but unplanned events or requests occur and plans derail.
It is reassuring to know that God is always faithful, when we are not. El Emanuah means “the faithful God”. Without a doubt, He has shown up in my life in ways and in times that I may not have seen a light at the end of the tunnel. He keeps his promises. He hears my pleas in the midst of a crowded room, and gives meaning to my silence.

But, God guides us back to the work of being faithful and showing up for others. Amen!
